An elderly man was rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after being struck by a dump truck near Moss Park.
It happened near Shuter and Parliament streets at around 2:50 p.m.
Paramedics say the man is conscious but has significant injuries to his legs.
The southbound lanes of Parliament Street are closed between Queen and Dundas streets and Shuter Street is closed in both directions between Regent and Poulett Street as police investigate.
