Police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect vehicle and its driver following a hit-and-run that left an elderly woman with serious injuries in Brampton Tuesday afternoon.

According to Peel police, the woman, believed to be in her 80s, was struck at Main Street and Brickyard Way at around 2:20 p.m.

The car that struck the pedestrian is described as a black, “Honda-style” vehicle which will have damage to the driver’s side.

The driver of the vehicle is described by police as a black female, in her 20s, with loose braids.

The southbound lanes of Main Street are currently closed as officers continue to investigate.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has information is asked to contact police.
