A 53-year-old man has been transported to hospital with minor injuries after he was struck in the head by a falling piece of glass in the city's downtown core.
The glass fell 15 stories from a balcony belonging to the Shangri-La Hotel near University Avenue and Adelaide Street at around noon.
No road closures were in effect as a result of the incident, though the sidewalk in front of the Shangri-La Hotel along University Avenue was temporarily blocked off while police investigated.
