An 83-year-old woman is dead after a collision on the QEW near North Shore Boulevard in Burlington late Saturday night.
According to police, the woman was travelling in the Niagara-bound lanes at around midnight when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail. As a result, six other vehicles became involved in the collision.
Several people were treated for minor injuries as a result.
The highway was shut down for close to five hours at North Shore Boulevard, but has since reopened.
