OTTAWA -- The NDP campaign is going to race through southwest Ontario today with Tom Mulcair starting the day in Brantford and ending in Essex and he's expected to focus on trade talks involving a dozen countries.
Mulcair has no less than a half dozen brief campaign appearances with the orange bus also stopping in Waterloo, Stratford, London and Sarnia.
The New Democrats signalled Saturday that Mulcair will voice his opposition to a Trans Pacific Partnership, the subject of high level negotiations this weekend in Atlanta.
They issued a handout that lists all the communities that Mulcair is visiting today and beside each one the number of manufacturing jobs that the NDP says they've lost since the Conservatives have been in power.
"Stephen Harper has failed Ontario. With the TPP he'll fail families again," the handout reads.
Southwest Ontario largely went Conservative in the 2011 campaign but the New Democrats did snatch a few seats, notably in Windsor and London.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau only has a single event today, attending a rally in the heart of 905 country -- Brampton.
The suburban ridings around Toronto with a 905 area code went to the Conservatives in the last election, but the Liberals most certainly need to win some of them back if they want to have a shot at forming a government.
Green Party leader Elizabeth May is campaigning in Victoria today where she'll announce her party's plan for arts and culture. She'll later attend a rally.
The Conservative campaign plane is in the hanger today -- Harper has no public campaign events.
