A 70-year-old woman has been pronounced dead on scene after she was struck by a vehicle in Scarborough.
It happened in the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and McCowan Road at around 12:30 p.m.
A second person was also involved and was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, according to paramedics.
“The pedestrian was crossing Lawrence Avenue from the south side to the north side and was struck by a car as she was crossing the road,” Sgt. Paul Strangways told CP24 at the scene. “That car did stop and was then rear-ended by a second motor vehicle.”
