A woman was taken to hospital in stable condition after she was struck by a vehicle in Mississauga on Thursday night.
Police say that a vehicle struck two pedestrians near Matheson Boulevard and Rose Cherry Place at around 9 p.m.
One of the victims was taken to a Toronto trauma centre for treatment while the second victim was assessed on scene but was not transported to hospital.
The incident was initially reported as a hit-and-run, however police later said that the vehicle involved had actually remained on scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward.
