Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and his councillor brother have cancelled this weekend’s edition of their radio show.

No reason was given for the cancellation.

The decision to cancel Sunday’s edition of the weekly talk program was made Friday, said Newstalk 1010 program director Mike Bendixen.

The show, hosted by the mayor and brother Doug Ford, is scheduled to return May 26.

The cancellation follows new allegations against the mayor published Friday in the Toronto Star.

In the Star report, the newspaper says two of its reporters viewed a video allegedly showing Ford smoking from a glass pipe.

The video was recorded by a drug dealer, The Star said in its report.

In response to the reports, Ford suggested Friday the Toronto Star has a vendetta against him, and he said the allegations are “ridiculous” and “absolutely not true.”

Star reporter Robyn Doolittle said the people who showed her and her colleague Kevin Donovan the video wanted $100,000 for it, but the Star did not pay them and did not obtain a copy of the video.

The video's authenticity has not been substantiated.
