Add satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern to the growing list of major entertainers who have weighed in on the video scandal encircling Toronto’s mayor.

Stern and longtime sidekick Robin Quivers riffed on audio clips of Rob Ford as they devoted a few minutes to the topic on Monday’s edition of “The Howard Stern Show” on SiriusXM.

“This Toronto mayor is the best,” Stern said before playing a recording of the mayor angrily screaming at journalists to get off his property outside his Etobicoke home last Thursday.

After playing a portion of the clip, Stern gave his take on the encounter: “This sounds like one of these arguments that people have when they’re, like, five.”

As Ford gets into his Cadillac Escalade and pulls out of his driveway, a female reporter’s voice drowns out the voices of others as she shouts questions at the departing mayor.

“It would have been funny if he ran her over with a car,” Stern joked.

The second clip was from Bill Carroll’s talk show on AM 640 on Thursday, when he accused “Ian from Etobicoke,” a caller who defended Ford, of being the mayor with a disguised voice.

“By the way, this is a major city, Toronto … It ain’t Mayberry,” Stern said, referring to the quiet, almost crime-free small town that served as the fictional setting for the 1960s sitcom “The Andy Griffith Show.”

The segment ends with a recap of Ford’s apology on his Newstalk 1010 radio show Sunday.

“I don’t think that was a good apology,” Quivers said.

This isn’t the first time Ford’s troubles have been discussed on the Stern show and it’s not the first time the controversy has been presented to a wide audience south of the border.

Since allegations of drug use surfaced last May, the mayor has been fodder for late-night laughs on TV shows hosted by Jon Stewart, Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel.
