Peel police have charged four men and are searching for two additional suspects in connection with a human trafficking case involving a 16-year-old girl.

According to police, the victim was lured into the sex trade by a group of five men in early January. Over a six-week period, police said the men took turns “pimping” the girl at various locations in and around Peel Region.

Police were ultimately able to identify, arrest and charge four suspects with various human trafficking-offences.

Investigators are still looking to identify a fifth suspect.

Last month, police allege the same girl was forced into a vehicle and driven by four men – three of whom were involved with her alleged pimping – to a police station where she was told to recant her story to investigators.

The suspects fled after the teen told police about what was happening.

Three of the four suspects involved in the second incident have since been charged. The fourth suspect has not been located.

In a release issued late Thursday afternoon, police identified four suspects charged in connection with the two incidents.

“(Police) are concerned that there may be more victims associated to this group of males who have not had the opportunity or are reluctant to come forward,” police said.
