Two men and two teen males have been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a young child over a two-year period.

Police allege that the girl, now seven, was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions between 2010 and 2012 by two men and two boys.

She was between four and five years old at the time of the assaults, police said.

At a news conference Friday morning, investigators said that the victim was familiar with all of the accused, though police would not speak to the specific nature of the relationship.

“I can’t describe how they had contact,” Toronto police Const. Krystal Mosher said.

The assaults occurred at the residence of one of the accused men, who Mosher said may have been babysitting children in Scarborough’s east end.

Police believe there may be other victims.

“These potential victims could be very young and don’t know how to speak out for themselves,” Mosher said. “They may not know that there’s anything wrong – they might not know this is a bad thing.”

On April 10, four suspects were arrested in connection with the investigations.

Raymond Savoie, 43, is charged with gang sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, and three counts of sexual interference.

His brother, 40-year-old Michel Savoie, is charged with gang sexual assault, sexual assault, and two counts of sexual interference.

Both men are from Toronto, and have been investigated previously, Mosher said. She did not elaborate on the nature of the previous investigations.

The men are scheduled to appear in court June 3.

Two teen males, now 18 and 17, were charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Both were also previously known to police, Mosher said.

Police did not elaborate on the nature of the relationship between the youths and the Savoie brothers.

They cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Both are scheduled to appear in court next on May 26.
