A four-year-old girl was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after she fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Mississauga Wednesday morning.
Peel Regional Police said the girl fell from a window around 11:40 a.m. from a building near Lakeshore Road East and Cawthra Road. There does not appear to be a criminal element to the incident, said police adding that it appears to be an accident.
The girl suffered trauma to multiple parts of her body, according to Peel Regional Paramedic Services. She was treated at the Trillium Health Centre and then transferred to SickKids.
It is not known how the girl fell out the window. The Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating.
