The southbound lanes of University Avenue have reopened at Richmond Street after a piece of glass fell from the Shangri-La Hotel early Thursday morning.

The closure was in effect for about an hour.

No injuries have been reported.

This is the third time in the last year that glass has fallen from the downtown hotel.

Last September, a 53-year-old man suffered minor injuries after he was struck by a piece of glass that fell from a 15th floor balcony.
