Police say one man has been charged after he allegedly started assaulting young women in Scarborough's Oakridge neighbourhood overnight.
Investigators initially said a man was taken to hospital after a possible assault near Martin Grove Road and Milkwood Avenue at around 1:30 a.m.
But police later confirmed that an intoxicated man had been assaulting young women in the area and a group of males came to intervene.
The intoxicated man sustained minor injuries.
He has been charged with two counts of assault and no other suspects are outstanding.
