Highway 427 has reopened after a tractor trailer rollover closed all southbound express lanes at Burnhamthorpe Road.
Just before 6 a.m. Tuesday, the driver of a Chevy Equinox was travelling southbound when he lost control and hit a cement barrier. A tractor-trailer following the vehicle was unable to avoid the collision and flipped over. Police say ice pellets were falling on the roadway at the time of the crash.
The driver of the car was trapped for a period of time but no injuries were reported.
The collision also caused a fuel spill but the content of the truck was not flammable, police say.
