Toronto Police say a male is dead after he was stabbed on Church Street in the city’s downtown on Friday night.
Police say they were called to a rooming house on Charles Street East, east of Church Street, sometime before 9:30 p.m. for a report of a person who was stabbed after an altercation inside the building.
Police said paramedics worked to revive the male but he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators say the suspect in this incident is outstanding but no description was immediately available. Police said the weapon used has not been recovered.
Homicide investigators interviewed witnesses at the scene.
