A 76-year-old male pedestrian who was hit by a pickup truck as he crossed the street in Scarborough’s L’Amoreaux neighbourhood earlier this month died of his injuries on Wednesday.

Police said that on Nov. 14 at 8:15 a.m., a man was attempting to cross Aragon Avenue on the south side of Sheppard Avenue East when he was struck by a vehicle.

Investigators said the driver initially stopped but later left the scene.

The victim was rushed to a hospital trauma centre for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.

On Thursday, police released new surveillance camera images of the vehicle involved, believed to be a black quad-cab pickup truck, with silver running boards.
