Toronto police are looking for suspects after a male was wounded in a stabbing in North York early Sunday morning.

Paramedics said the victim suffered stab wounds to the torso and was in critical condition when they rushed him to a trauma centre from the scene near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue at about 3:30 a.m.

He was later upgraded to serious but stable condition, police told CP24.

The victim reportedly stumbled up to a TTC bus for help after he was wounded.

The stabbing is one of two violent incidents that occurred near Jane and Wilson this weekend.

On Saturday night, a woman was injured in a stabbing at an apartment building on Chalkfarm Drive.

Police said the woman was released from hospital overnight and a man who was arrested at the scene has been released without charge.
