A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital in critical condition after a shooting in Scarborough’s Bendale area.

Police and paramedics were called to the area of Rushley Drive and Lawrence Avenue East shortly before 10:30 p.m.

First responders found the male victim conscious and breathing. Paramedics later said he had sustained life-threatening injuries.

There was no immediate information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
