A 30-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed his 60-year-old father inside a North York home on Saturday evening.

According to police, the man stabbed his father inside a residence near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue following a family dispute at around 6 p.m.

Police say the man then turned the weapon on himself.

Both men were subsequently taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The name of the both the victim and suspect are being withheld pending further investigation.
