Toronto police have arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault that occurred July 15 in Toronto’s Cabbagetown neighbourhood.

Police say a 46-year-old woman was walking in the area of Parliament Street and Wellesley Street East between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on the morning of July 15.

A man approached the woman and offered her assistance walking home, police allege. The man went with the woman to her apartment and allegedly sexually assaulted her. He then fled the scene.

On Sunday, police arrested 27-year-old Tashi Singhee. He is charged with one count of sexual assault. He appeared in court at College Park on Monday morning.

Police say they believe there may be other victims.
