A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a teenage girl told police she was sexually assaulted on three separate occasions while travelling on the subway.

The 17-year-old victim previously told police that she had been approached and sexually assaulted by the same man while travelling on the Bloor Street line on the mornings of Oct. 30 and Nov. 6.

That man is also alleged to have approached the victim while she was standing on the subway platform at Jane Station on Nov. 12 and followed her as she tried to run away.

Victor Torrejon Huaman was arrested by plain clothes officers at Jane Station on Wednesday morning and charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of criminal harassment in connection with the case.

Huaman will appear in court tomorrow.
