LONDON, Ont. - A 27-year-old London man is facing charges in connection with a Boxing Day stabbing in the southwestern Ontario city.
Police say the incident happened Wednesday when a 56-year-old man was attacked by another man who was armed and wearing a hockey mask.
They say the victim was sitting in a downtown plaza (Citi Plaza at 355 Wellington Street) when he was approached by the masked man and that it's believed drugs may have been a factor.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for cuts to his head.
Jon-Erik Westine faces several charges including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and wearing a disguise.
