A man has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times in Brampton late Friday night.

It happened in the rear of a building on Eastborne Drive at around 11:30 p.m.

Police at the scene initially told CP24 that the victim, 18, suffered critical injuries but police now say he is in non-life threatening condition.

A man and a woman were both arrested in connection with the incident; however the woman was released unconditionally a short time later.

Shermmar Doyon Cooper, 24, is expected to appear in court today.
