A 50-year-old man has died following a collision involving a TTC bus in Malvern.
The crash occurred on Morningside Avenue near Sheppard Avenue East shortly before 6:30 a.m.
Police say the male driver of a 2002 Jaguar sedan ran into the back of a stopped TTC bus in the southbound curb lane of Morningside Avenue.
The driver of the car was found without vitals signs and pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Const. Clint Stibbe said there is some indication that the man may not have been wearing a seatbelt.
"Currently we are looking to see if it is a medical-related episode or if there was some sort of mechanical issue with the vehicle," Stibbe said.
"But as of right now, the determination as to what exactly caused this collision hasn’t been made as of yet."
The TTC bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the crash.
Morningside Avenue was closed between Casebridge Court and Sheppard Avenue East, however the road reopened around 10:30 a.m.
