Toronto Paramedics say a man in his 40s suffered a stab wound to the chest during an altercation in the city’s St. James Town area on Saturday night.
Police said they were called to the area of Bleecker and Wellesley streets just after 9 p.m. for a report of a physical fight.
Paramedics said the male victim was taken to hospital in serious condition but was conscious and breathing.
Police said one suspect has been taken into custody in relation to the incident. Police said the fight arose from a dispute between two tenants of a building in the area that turned physical.
