A man is now out of surgery and in stable condition after being stabbed at Humber College late Wednesday afternoon, according to Toronto police.

The incident occurred in a north campus parking lot located near Humber College Boulevard and Highway 27 shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Paramedics said the victim was transported to a local trauma centre with serious injuries. No other injuries have been reported.

“Humber’s Department of Public Safety is cooperating with the investigation,” a release issued by the school Wednesday night said.

A preliminary description of a suspect was initially provided by police, but police later said that information was released prematurely.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-2222 or Humber security at 416-675-6622 ext. 4000.
