One person has been seriously injured after a tractor trailer collided with two other vehicles in Brampton.
The crash happened near Highway 50 and Coleraine Drive around 12:20 p.m.
According to police, a tractor trailer went into a ditch, trapping one person inside after the vehicles collided.
The man was extricated, but suffered possible chest injuries, an Ornge air ambulance spokesperson said.
Police shut down the highway both ways so that an air ambulance could land to transport the man to a trauma centre. The highway reopened shortly before 4 p.m.
Two people from one of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries in the collision.
There was no immediate word on the circumstances that lead to the crash.
