A man in his early 20s has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the stomach at a busy street festival on St. Clair Avenue West Saturday evening.

Police say the man was stabbed around 5:30 p.m. after a fight broke out near St. Clair Avenue West and Greensides Ave. where the bustling Salsa on St. Clair street festival is taking place.

The man was rushed to hospital via emergency run.

Another victim who sustained minor injuries remained at the scene.

Police say three suspects fled west on St. Clair Avenue West. They are described as black males in their late teens. Two of the suspects were wearing white shirts, while another was wearing a blue shirt. All three were wearing white and blue baseball caps and may have blood on them.

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward with information.
