A man in his 20's was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed at a house party in Vaughan Saturday night.

York Regional police said the stabbing took place at a home on Sonoma Boulevard in the Islington Avenue and Rutherford Road area around 8:45 p.m. as a number of unwelcome guests were being ejected from the home.

Paramedics said the man was stabbed three times, once in the back, once in the thorax and once in his left side.

The man was the only person injured at the party, police said.

No arrests have been made. Police said they are currently trying to identify possible suspects.
