A man is in critical but stable condition in hospital after he was stabbed and shot at a Mississauga strip club, Peel Regional Police say.

Police said the man suffered gunshot and knife wounds during an incident at the Million Dollar Restaurant at Torbram and Drew roads.

A person who is affiliated with the business but declined to be named said the incident occurred after the club closed for the night.

After the incident, the victim made his way to the ALT Hotel on Viscount Road, just north of Airport Road, where he was found by emergency personnel shortly before 3 a.m. The man was then rushed to Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto.

Police are looking for suspects.

Man attacked with baseball bat

The stabbing is one of two violent overnight attacks being investigated by Peel Regional Police.

In the other incident, a man was beaten with a baseball bat at a home on Supino Crescent in Brampton, near Goreway and Countryside drives.

It is believed a friend drove the assault victim to a local hospital.

The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
