Toronto police say the city’s latest homicide victim was slain when he got into an argument with a man.

Police identified the 26-year-old victim Wednesday as Leonard Charles Fullerton.

Fullerton was fatally shot near Weston Road and Denarda Street on Tuesday at about 4:20 p.m.

During the argument, the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several gunshots at Fullerton, who was on the ground when emergency personnel arrived, police said.

The suspect, who was on foot, fled east on Denarda Street and then left in a small four-door car that is silver in colour, police said in a news release.

The male suspect is black with a light complexion and six feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the shooting.

Police said the man is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call detectives at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Police said there is no evidence Fullerton's killing is linked to a double shooting that occurred on Falstaff Avenue later in the day.

Fullerton is the city’s 47th homicide victim of 2012, and the fourth in a three-day span.

Men were killed in separate shootings Sunday and Monday, and a woman was found dead in her Parkdale home Monday.
