BROCKVILLE, Ont. - Ontario Provincial Police say the body of an adult male has been found near the area where the car of a missing journalist was located Tuesday night.
Police say the identity of the victim will not be released until the next of kin have been notified and a post-morten examination has been completed.
Steve Pettibone, 39, was last seen at 7:30 a.m. on Monday when he left his home in Belleville, Ont., to go to work at the Brockville Recorder and Times, where he is the sports editor.
His car was found abandoned in a field off a rural road in the township of Elizabethtown.
