Ontario Provincial Police are seeking witnesses to a highway crash that killed a 34-year-old woman and injured two other people Wednesday night.

Police said the woman died after a multi-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 403, just west of Mavis Road, in Mississauga at about 9:15 p.m.

The crash occurred when a Nissan Maxima left the road and rear-ended a pickup truck parked on the right shoulder.

The pickup truck was then pushed into a cube van, which was parked on the shoulder as people performed roadwork near a ditch, OPP said.

Two male workers were in the back of the truck, and they were tossed onto the road. Both were taken to hospital.

One of the men was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital, where he underwent treatment for serious injuries.

OPP said the woman who died was driving the Nissan Maxima. She was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call investigators at 905-278-6131.
