More classes are expected to resume at York University Monday after the university’s senate executive approved a list of courses that can start again.

The university says it will maintain an updated list of resuming courses on its website so that students can plan accordingly. The list can be found here.

The move comes after the York announced Monday that its senate executive had decided to resume most classes despite an ongoing labour disruption. Many of those courses started again Tuesday.

Teaching assistants and graduate students have been walking the picket lines for several weeks in a dispute over wages and job stability. Contracted course instructors had also been on strike, but went back to work after they voted to accept a deal made to their bargaining unit by the university.

The school is advising students to use public transportation to avoid any possible delays entering the campus when courses resume.

The senate executive will meet again Tuesday to discuss courses which are not yet able to resume.
