The suspect in the fatal shooting of a Toronto teenager at a wake in Jamaica is the victim’s cousin, according to police.

Hunts Bay Police tell CP24 that the suspect turned himself in for questioning on Monday evening.

Ricardo Williams, 14, was attending a wake in Kingston on Sunday at the time of the shooting.

The Scarborough boy, whose mother lives in Jamaica, was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The accused, Omar James, also known as ‘Judge,’ is currently in police custody and is expected to be formally charged in the next 24 hours.

James will face charges of murder, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition, according to police.
