Call it a case of perfect timing.

As people partied across Toronto, the city’s New Year’s baby arrived at the stroke of midnight at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Weighing seven pounds and four ounces, Wynn Christopher Laforet was born at exactly 12 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the hospital.

The baby boy is the first child of parents Casey Laforet, a member of local country band Elliott Brood, and Jane Maggs.

The boy is believed to be the first baby born in Toronto in 2013.

In Mississauga, staff at Credit Valley Hospital welcomed that facility’s New Year’s baby seven minutes after midnight.

The hospital initially said the newborn girl arrived seven seconds after midnight, but later corrected the time of birth.

According to the hospital, the girl weighed six pounds and 11 ounces, and she and her mom are healthy and doing well.
