Weather

Today will be manly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries in the evening. Periods of snow are expected overnight with a low of -4 C.

A warmer, but wetter weekend is expected. A high of 6 C is expected Saturday and a high of 13 is expected Sunday. However snow, rain and wind gusts of up to 50 kilometres per hour are expected Saturday. There’s also a 60 per cent chance of rain Sunday.

Traffic delays

Traffic on the QEW in Oakville will be slower than usual during the morning rush due to a collision near Trafalgar Rd.

Drivers in Hamilton were forced off Highway 403 after a mudslide blocked the eastbound lanes of the highway. Details here.

Events

  • Christmas spirit has come to Toronto! This will be the first weekend of the 2014 Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery Historic District.  The festival has is a popular tradition and is open seven days a week until Dec. 21.
  • The Cavalcade of Lights will make the entire city sparkle this weekend. This 48th annual tradition will offer the public the first glimpse at Toronto's official Christmas tree as well as a free concert and fireworks display.
  • The One of a Kind show is on from Nov. 27 until Dec. 1. The event has become a favourite for those looking to buy something unique and special for the holidays.
  • The Arkells are playing tonight at the Danforth Music Hall. This acclaimed Canadian band have won two Junos and have opened up for the Tragically Hip, Tokyo Police Club and more.

Sports

The Raptors play the Dallas Mavericks at home tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Maple Leafs will take on the Washington Capitals at the Air Canada Centre Saturday at 7 p.m.
