Weather:
We are not completely in the grips of fall just yet. Environment Canada says Wendesday will see sunny skies and a high of 20 C.
News:
- Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko is visiting Canada Wednesday to address Parliament and meet Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
- Doctors are expected to provide an update on Rob Ford’s health today at 5 p.m. Ford was diagnosed with a tumour in his abdomen last week and he is currently staying at Mount Sinai Hospital.
- Tory has a 14-point lead in the latest mayoral poll and the majority of voters are OK with Doug Ford stepping into the mayoral race in place of his brother, Mayor Rob Ford.
Events:
- The Tony Award-winning musical ‘The Book of Mormon’ is back in Toronto and will run until November 30.
- Toronto Beer Week continues with beer-related events across the city. The event runs until Sept. 20.
- John Tory and Olivia Chow are expected to attend a pair of debates today; one at The Bay Club at 12:30 p.m. and another at 5:55 p.m. at the Toronto Region Board of Trade
Traffic:
- York Street between Queens Quay and Harbour Street will be closed from Monday, September 15 to Friday, October 3 for water main construction work.
- Hoskin Avenue from Devonshire Place to Queen's Park Crescent will be closed in both directions from Monday, September 15 at 6 a.m. to Wednesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. for road reconstruction.
Sports:
- The Blue Jays are in Baltimore tonight for game three against the Orioles at 7:05 p.m.
- The Minnesota Vikings have placed Adrian Peterson on the exempt list while he addresses child abuse charges.
