The intersection of College Street and Lansdowne Avenue will be closed until Aug. 8 for streetcar track replacement.

Weather:

There is a 30 per cent chance of rain in the forecast for Toronto today. Environment Canada is calling for a high of 29 C but it will feel closer to 35 with humidity.

Headlines:

  • Const. James Forcillo, the Toronto police officer convicted of attempted murder in the death of teen Sammy Yatim, will be sentenced today.
  • A shooting in Mississauga sent one man to hospital in serious condition.
  • Police are investigating after a man was shot in the arm in Scarborough’s Eglinton East neighbourhood.

Events:

  • The Lumineers are performing tonight at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. The show begins at 7 p.m.
  • Cirque Du Soleil is on at the Toronto Port Lanes starting today and will run until Oct. 16, 2016.
