- Police are searching for a suspect after a female was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted near Humber College Wednesday night.
- The Uncle of slain teen Lecent Ross will be attending the launch of a new partnership between Toronto Community Housing and Crime Stoppers today. The event will be held on Jamestown Crescent, the street where the 14-year-old Toronto girl was killed, at around noon.
- A Canadian legislator confirms that immigration officials rejected a B.C. woman’s request to take in a Syrian family whose mother and two young sons drowned off the Turkish coast this week while trying to flee to Europe.
Events:
- Fan Expo, Canada’s largest comic, sci-fi, horror and gaming event, is back in Toronto today at the Metro Convention Centre and runs until Sept. 6.
