Occupants of a home in Vaughan escaped without injury when flames gutted their home Thursday morning.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze, which occurred on Coalbrook Court, near Weston Road and Highway 7, at about 6 a.m.

The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

The home’s occupants escaped before emergency personnel arrived, said York Regional Police spokesman Const. Blair McQuillan.

A neighbouring home sustained minor damage.

A damage estimate was not available.
