A multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck in north Etobicoke left one person dead and three others injured Tuesday afternoon.
Toronto police Const. Clint Stibbe said emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Humber College Boulevard and Highway 27 at around 2 p.m.
Three others suffered non-life-threatening injuries, paramedics said.
The gender and age of the deceased were not immediately provided.
Highway 27 was closed in both directions between Humber College Boulevard and Queens Plate Drive for several hours to allow for cleanup and the investigation.
It reopened shortly after 9 p.m.
Police continue to investigate.
