One person is dead following a crash in Pickering, Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed.
It happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 401, just east of Liverpool Road.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately known.
One patient has been transported to hospital with critical injuries, Const. Kerry Schmidt said.
Police continue to investigate.
