A 36-year-old man is in hospital and a woman has been arrested following a stabbing at a home in Brampton Saturday night.

The stabbing occurred at around 8:20 p.m. at a house on Cumberland Drive in the area of Vodden Street East and Kennedy Road North.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to the home for a domestic dispute.

Neighbours at the scene told CP24 they helped the man into a chair and called 911 when he made his way across the street after being stabbed.

The man was transported to a trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A female, believed to be the man’s girlfriend, has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing, police said.
