GO Transit reported major service disruptions this afternoon after a person was struck and killed by a train near Rouge Hill GO Station.
A westbound train headed from Pickering to Union Station struck a person east of Rouge Hill Station, prompting officials to hold the train for approximately two hours.
Trains on the Lakeshore East lines were running from Guildwood to Union stations as well as Pickering to Oshawa stations but shuttle buses supplemented service between Guildwood and Pickering stations.
Full service resumed on the line shortly after 2 p.m.
