Investigators are appealing for help in solving the homicide of a Toronto woman whose body was found dumped in a ditch in Caledon in 2011.

Kera Freeland, 20, was last seen in Toronto on Jan. 16, 2011. Her body was found two months later along Heart Lake Road in Caledon.

OPP said Wednesday they are seeking information about an incident involving a car that went into a ditch in the Caledon area in January of 2011. Police say the car had to be removed by a tow truck and the driver of the vehicle waited at a nearby home for the tow truck to arrive.

Police are now looking to identify the tow truck company as well as the tow truck driver, OPP said in a release. They would also like to speak with the resident who assisted the driver of the disabled vehicle.

In January of this year, police arrested and charged Freeland’s former roommate in connection with her death.

Christopher Andronakos, 35, has been charged with second-degree murder.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit at 519-927-3041, the Calgary police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers in Ontario at 800-222-8477 (TIPS).
