Peel police say they are investigating a homicide at an address on Colonial Drive near The Collegeway in Mississauga.
The initial call came in at about 3:45 p.m.
Police confirm that an unidentified woman has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, but no further details are known.
“We got the call this afternoon for a disturbance at which point the officers located the victim and determined that it was a homicide,” Const. Erin Cooper told CP24 at the scene Tuesday night. “We are at the very early stages of notifying next of kin, so we don’t have any information to be released on the victim at this time.”
Several neighbours told CP24 that a mother and her toddler daughter reside at the address.
It is not known if the mother was the one taken into custody.
