PETERBOROUGH, Ont. -- A Peterborough man is facing charges after a shooting incident in the city left a 40-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

Police say officers who responded to an apartment complex (in the Hunter Street and Armour Road area) just before 6 p.m. Monday found a man in the second-floor hallway suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, then airlifted to St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, where he is currently in stable condition.

Ryan Greer, 20, faces charges including attempted murder.

Police are still seeking as many as three other suspects seen driving away from the area in an older model dark sedan, possibly a black 1980s Buick.
