Toronto police are appealing to the public for information after a woman’s wheelchair ramp was stolen from the front of her Etobicoke home.

Police say the aluminum ramp was taken from the house near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Kipling Avenue sometime between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning.

Police say they’ve received little information since the ramp went missing and they’re hoping anyone who might have seen something can help shed light on the incident.

The ramp folds up to two feet wide, briefcase style. It bears a sticker showing that it was leased from a Shoppers Home Health Care store on Bartley Drive.

Police did not say how much the ramp was worth, but some home wheelchair ramps can easily retail for hundreds of dollars, according to several websites who sell the item.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-2200 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
